CASANA Accepting Applications for 2014 Intensive Training Institute on Apraxia

29 October — The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) is accepting applications for its 2014 Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) Intensive Training Institute to be held July 30, 2014 – August 3, 2014 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania at Duquesne University’s Department of Speech-Language Pathology. This intensive training experience is intended to boost the level of expertise in the assessment and treatment of Childhood Apraxia of Speech.

    CASANA To Host 2013 National Conference on Childhood Apraxia of Speech in Denver, CO

    The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) will host its 2013 National Conference on Childhood Apraxia of Speech in Denver, Colorado on July 11-July 13, 2013, at the Hyatt Regency Denver Tech Center. This year’s conference theme, “Reaching High for the Future” will address all aspects of speech, language, and learning for children impacted by apraxia. This year, CASANA expects more than 300 families and professionals to attend.

    CASANA & SSIS Partner to Fund Speech Therapy for Children with Apraxia

    PITTSBURGH, PA (May 6, 2013) – The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) and Small Steps in Speech (SSIS) have initiated a joint project to aid families of children with apraxia of speech by providing small grants for children’s speech therapy. CASANA will fund the program that will be administered by Small Steps in Speech.

    Holly Springs Mom Honors Son By Hosting First Raleigh Area Walk/Fun Run for Apraxia

    In honor of her son Nicholas, Kristina Graham of Holly Springs is coordinating the first Raleigh 5k Fun Run/Walk for Children with Apraxia of Speech event on Saturday, June 1, in American Tobacco Trail.     CASANA Named as Beneficiary of Oana Hogrefe Photography's Childhood Calendar Fundraiser

    Oana Hogrefe Photography has selected CASANA as the beneficiary of the 2014 Childhood Calendar fundraiser. A public casting call has been issued and 25-30 children will be selected to be photographed as a part of this effort.     More Families of Children with Apraxia of Speech to Receive iPads and Educational Scholarships

    The Childhood Apraxia of Speech Association of North America (CASANA) has been awarded a $10,000 grant from Highmark Blue Cross Blue Shield to support the iPads for Apraxia project, a program that provides children with apraxia iPads and protective cases, and scholarships to CASANA’s National Conference, an exclusive, three-day educational event for parents, researchers, and speech pathologists to learn about all aspects of childhood apraxia of speech.
